It began in the late 1960”s when David Mock built his first custom car, a 1955 Chevrolet. Over the next few years Dave customized, many classic vehicles including 55' 56' Chevrolets, a 1964 SS Nova, corvettes, camaros' and many, many more. It was during these years that Dave taught himself how to custom paint cars and motorcycles. Soon Dave and many of his customers began to enter these vehicles he had customized in local auto shows. Every vehicle that Dave built for his customers won! And, not only did they win they never won less then first place! Then in 1972 Dave built his first custom van. Pleased with the product, he introduced it at are auto shows and startled the industry by winning awards for the best custom paint, best custom interior and overall best custom van.
Dave quickly realized that if he was going to customize vehicles for a living, his philosophy had to be to build the best. It is this philosophy that would help launch the company bearing his name and set the stage for a series of brilliant innovations that would earn DM Conversions a place of honor in the industry.
